Happy February!
I hope this letter finds you all well.
| European Traditional Baby Carrying |
 |
In our eternal quest for information about traditional
methods of baby wearing, we have come across
another tidbit. OK, someone else came across it, and
told us. Toddy, to whom I introduced you last month,
has sent us some pictures of a traditional Welsh
method using a big square shawl.
The method is similar to one that I have written about
before, using a rebozo, which I call "the Tuck". It's not
truly hands-free, but it's a great way to transfer some
of baby's weight off of your arms, using something that
you may already have on hand.
You can see several pictures of this same method on
our resources page, as well as a page that I have put
together with more pictures and a description.

| New Products: Sutemi Pack & Onbuhimo |
 |
We are very pleased to announce another pack style
carrier that we think is super comfortable. The Sutemi
Pack distributes baby's weight across the shoulders and
to the waist, and the crossed shoulder straps are
incredible for long walks. As you can see from this
picture, another great feature is that you can wear
baby on your hip, as well as on the back or front.
We have been waiting a very long time for our other
new carrier. The Onbuhimo is a baby carrier used in
Japan after WWII. It comes in many beautiful fabrics,
and is very compact.
We are offering our newsletter readers 10% off of these
baby carriers for the next two weeks (until March
12). Just enter "newsfeb04" as the coupon code at
checkout.

My friend, pictured here, has been using her Moby
every day since her baby was born about a month ago.
It's just so cuddly. (There's a baby in there!)

How are we doing? I like to hear and see how your
slings are working out for you. If you get a spare
moment in your busy, busy schedules, I would love a
note and a picture.
If you like what you have read here, I would greatly
appreciate it if you would forward this to a friend - or
two!
Thanks for your support! And have a good month.
